Celebrate a birthday party in the park and skip cleaning the house, providing entertainment and making sure there is enough room for all of the guests.

Planning a birthday party can be time consuming and stressful. Take away some of the additional work and worries by having the birthday party outside of the home and in a local park. The house doesn't need to be cleaned, all the kids have something to do and there is no reason to limit the number of guests.

Skip the Party Cleaning

With no guests coming to the house, there is no need to be sure that everything is perfectly cleaned and picked up. Getting everything ready for a birthday party can make a mess of the kitchen as well as other rooms in the house. Having the party at the park means that no one will see the icing that spilled all over the counter tops or the toys that just didn't get put away. Without all the cleaning, it is easier to relax and take time to get ready.

Use the Park for Party Entertainment

There is no need for Pin the Tail on the Donkey when holding a birthday party at the park. Before choosing a park, be sure to look at all the activities that kids can participate in. The most obvious form of entertainment would be a playground or play area. This keeps everyone all in the same spot and keeps them content for a while.

Is there a soccer field or basketball court at the park? Throw a ball or two into the car for kids to play with. If a sandbox is nearby, add a plastic shovel or two and a bucket for kids to play with. Not enough toys to go around? Add some colored chalk for kids to draw on the sidewalk. (There is a chance the adults may end up participating as well.

Plenty of Party Space

No need to shorten the list of birthday party guest because there aren't enough chairs or the house will seem crowded. Because the park is a wide open space, there is no real limit to the number of guests that can attend. This type of birthday party set up makes it easy for guests to mingle and talk without feeling cramped.

Only the birthday party menu can now limit the number of people invited. Don't forget to ask guests to RSVP. While there is plenty of room, it is still a good idea to know how man guests are attending.
